GENERAL NOTES
It is important to ensure you connect the selected Digital Decals to the correct Access Point (AP)
CONNECTION STEPS
These are the step to connect your Digital Decals to your venues Wi-Fi
QUICK GUIDE:
This app requires 'Bluetooth' to be enabled.
PHONE PERMISSIONS:
Allow 'location services' and 'Bluetooth'.
LOGIN:
Log into your Beer Crawl using your account that is assigned to venue(s), brewery(s) or both.
SELECT PRODUCT:
Select 'Digital Decals'.
WI-FI CONNECTION STATUS:
Your phone will scan (via Bluetooth) and automatically display what Digital Decals your phone can connect to.
Ensure you are standing at the font, where the decals will be installed.
It is essential your phone is not moved whilst connecting the decals.
Results will appear, note the following connection stats:
- Wait for the spinner to stop
- In the Left column, untick any decals that have a bad connection or Decals you do not want to currently connect to
- You can add these later
- Click the 'ADD SSID' button
CONNECT DECALS TO YOUR VENUES Wi-Fi / AP:
We now select the closest access point (AP) to the bar to connect the decals (that are connected to your phone) to.
- Wait for the spinner to stop (scanning for Wi-Fi networks).
- Use the dropdown to select which Wi-Fi you want to connect the selected decals to.
- Enter the password for the wireless network
- Click the 'CONNECT' button
Note the following connection stats (connecting the DECAL to your venues AP / router) via Wi-Fi:
NOTE: Will only display devices with Wi-Fi strength above -70 Dbi
• -30 to -50 Dbi is optimal
• -51 to -70 Dbi will have connection issues
• -71 Dbi and above will not connect SEE Wi-Fi requirements here
CONNECTING DECALS TO YOUR VENUES Wi-Fi / AP:
- Wait for the spinner to stop (attempting to connect to the selected Wi-Fi network).
- Click 'CONNECT' button.
Wi-Fi CONNECTION REPORT:
This page will provide a list of decals which have successfully connected, and any decals which have not successfully connected.
For any decals that did not connect:
- You will notice a red 'info' icon next to any decals that did not connect. This is the generate report button.
GENERAL PAGES
These are other management / reporting pages that are not apart of the initial connection proceedure.
Wi-Fi CONNECTION ERROR REPORT:
Wi-Fi errors can be complex. We provide 'STATES' so you / your venues I.T can narrow down what has gone wrong
- Click 'SEND REPORT' button for this information to be emailed to yourself - or your venues I.T. person(s)
YOUR DECALS:
This page provides a list of decals which have successfully connected, and your phone can currently see.
It displays all connection details including how many configured SSIDs the decal has.
IF you manage multiple decals over multiple venues, these will be broken separated by a horizontal grey bar.
- To 'MANAGE' an individual decal, click the 'COG' icon in the right column
DECAL CONFIG - WIFI:
This page allows you to add or remove Wi-Fi / SSIDs to the specific selected decal.
DECAL CONFIG - DEVICE:
This page allows you to manage functions to the specific selected decal.
It also provides a quick insight into current 'STATES' that are managed by your Beer Crawl account.
DECAL CONFIG - REPORT:
This page allows you to perform a quick 'dropouts' test to check the quality of the Wi-Fi connection.
Remember, if the Wi-Fi is intermittent, it likely cannot receive updates / change content.
- Click 'START TEST' button
- Wait for spinner - it will display number of dropouts within the test timeframe (60 seconds)
- IF you want to send this as a report (to yourself / your venues I.T), enter email address and click 'SEND REPORT' button
