Planning and development of Digital Decals.
We released the world’s first digital decals at Tapworks Chermside in October 2018.
Sold first Gen 1 Decal to Brewski Bar. Testing wireless connectivity in a ‘real word scenario’ proved problematic.
Further software development was required..
Working prototype developed for Keg Scales.
Over the air software update system for Decals

This meant we would need to redesign the Digital Decals.
Setup Company with plans to dissolve partnership.
Major redesigning of Decal electronics commenced.

From Laravel v5.5 to v10 ... a long overdue upgrade of the core software. This improves security and allows for future features to the brewery/bar management system.
As of 22nd May 2024, the Decals currently being tested.
As of 11th June 2024, testing revealed stability issues between the CPU, PCB and BIOS. A fix is currently being worked on.

As of 11th July 2024, further changes were required to improve stability of the dual screen model. A fix is currently being worked on.
As of 2nd August 2024, a new TFT panel was released for longer supply life. Samples in production
As of 18th November 2024, testing revision 2 TFT panel had differnt shielding qualities than previous approved version (that was no longer sourceable). This caused issues that needsed to be redesigned in firmware and comprehensive re-testing.
As of 10th January 2025 firmware, Pixel Clock (PCLK), Init Commands + Refresh Rate updated for screen longevity.
As of 27th March 2025, D-bus issue and Race condition (that was caused by D-bus issue) resolved .
As of 7th August 2025, New (experienced) developers joined the team to overhaul codebase. This is to ensure stability for the release of the Gen 2 Decals.
As of 26th December 2025, The Bars & Taps system was completed by the new developers. This system allows decals to be assigned to various ‘bars’ within a venue. It allows the brewery or venue to assign decal to a bar and to dedicated access points. In addition, it allows targeted media to display in different areas of a venue and is an integral component for the Crawl Connect app and the KegScale FOB system.
As of 5th January, funding was secured allowing us to employ developers and move all development (coding and electronic)in house.
A company structure system finalised – allowing authorised marketing and I.T personal from a parent group to manage content and devices from subsidiary Businesses and groups. This allows management of dedicated content on specific decals and digital signage across targeted demographics.
